This is what Sophie Gerbrandt, the resource development manager of Genesis House, said about the organization’s Unmask Domestic Violence Masquerade Gala that took place on October 17.
The event was an evening of elegance and masks to support Genesis House’s work in the Pembina Valley.
It also had a trendy theme — Bridgerton (an alternative history television show set during the Regency).
‘We had to do a Bridgerton theme there’
Of the theme, Gerbrandt said, “Who doesn’t love a ball?”
“This has been a theme I’ve been thinking of for a couple of years, but just looking at the venues in the area, the amount of work that would have to go into transforming a space into a Bridgerton ball just felt like too much,” she said.
